O que é a certificação CE-EMC

I. Visão geral da certificação CE-EMC

The IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) defines electromagnetic compatibility as follows: a system or device can function properly in its electromagnetic environment without causing interference to other systems and devices.

Para padronizar a gestão da compatibilidade eletromagnética de equipamentos elétricos entre os Estados-Membros da UE e harmonizar seus regulamentos de CEM, a Diretiva CEM 89/336/EEC foi emitida em 1º de maio de 1989 e tornou-se obrigatória em 1º de janeiro de 1996; a diretiva atual é a 2004/108/EC. A Diretiva CEM atualizada tem o número 2014/30/EU e entrou em vigor em 18 de abril de 2014. A antiga Diretiva CEM 2004/108/EC foi revogada em 20 de abril de 2016. II. Escopo de produtos da certificação CE-EMC:

1. Os produtos abrangidos pela Diretiva EMC da certificação de compatibilidade eletromagnética CE incluem:

Household appliances and household electronic equipment;
Household radio and television receivers;
Industrial manufacturing equipment;
Mobile radio equipment;
Mobile radio communication and commercial wireless telephone equipment; medical and scientific apparatus;
Information technology equipment;

2. Os produtos NÃO abrangidos pela Diretiva EMC da certificação de compatibilidade eletromagnética CE incluem:

1) Components without a direct function:

a) Electrical and electronic components in electrical and electronic circuits: resistors, capacitors, coils; electron tubes, transistors, thyristors, triacs, etc.; integrated circuits.
b) Cables and cable accessories.
c) Relays.
d) Plugs, sockets, terminal blocks, etc.
e) Light-emitting diodes, liquid crystal displays, etc. f) Simple mechanical thermostats.

2) Similar components with a direct function:

a) Plug-in cards, microprocessor cards, central processing unit cards/motherboards, email cards, communication cards, etc. for computer systems;
b) Programmable logic controllers;
c) Elevator controllers;
d) Motors (except induction motors);
e) Computer disk drives;
f) Power supply units (PSU) for automatic control equipment;
g) Electronic temperature controllers.

III. Requisitos essenciais da certificação CE-EMC:

The EMC Directive of CE certification requires that the electromagnetic emissions generated by all electrical and electronic products and equipment containing electrical or electronic components must not exceed specified limits, so as not to interfere with the normal operation of other equipment; products must also have a certain level of immunity so that they can operate normally under normal conditions (that is, they can resist electromagnetic interference emitted by other devices that is below the limits allowed by industrial standards).

V. Semelhanças e diferenças entre EMI e EMS na certificação CE-EMC

1. EMC includes EMI (interference) and EMS (susceptibility), that is, electromagnetic interference and electromagnetic susceptibility.

2. EMI, electromagnetic interference, describes the degree of electromagnetic radiation interference a product causes to other products, and whether it will affect the normal operation of the surrounding environment or other electronic or electrical products within the same electrical environment; EMI further includes conducted interference CE (conduction emission), radiated interference RE (radiation emission), and harmonics
