Overview

Thermogravimetric Analyzer

The VicoMeter VICOMETER thermogravimetric analyzer is based on thermogravimetry: under a controlled temperature program, it measures mass as a function of temperature (or time). When the sample sublimes, vaporizes, decomposes to release gas or loses crystal water during heating, its mass changes and the TG curve drops accordingly. Analyzing the TG curve reveals the temperature at which changes occur and, from the weight loss, the amount of material lost. The most common principles are the deflection method and the null-balance method.

One-Button Operation Design

Simple operation with no installation, commissioning, or training required — ready to use out of the box. The color capacitive touch screen design displays sample status in real time, and the one-button measurement design with a friendly human-machine interface makes operation easy for users.

Excellent Structural Design

The furnace is double-wound with precious-metal platinum-rhodium alloy wire, reducing interference and improving high-temperature resistance.

The pan sensor, made with precious-metal alloy wire technology, is high-temperature, oxidation and corrosion resistant.

The separated design of power supply and circulating heat dissipation from the main unit gives the weighing module stronger resistance to heat and vibration.

The top-opening structure is easy to operate and simplifies sample loading—a clear advantage over traditional designs where the furnace moves up, making loading difficult and easily damaging the sample rod.

Excellent Hardware and Software Integration

High-performance ARM processor for faster sampling and higher reading accuracy

Four-channel sampling module for high-speed acquisition of AD\TG\temperature T signals

Intelligent PID temperature control supporting multi-stage programmed heating and isothermal control

Bidirectional USB communication: connect to a computer and operate experiments from the PC

Excellent touchscreen interface—most functions operable without a computer
