The VicoMeter WKT-JQ10 dielectric strength tester is China's first insulating-oil dielectric strength tester with a high-definition true-color display. Drawing on the strengths of comparable domestic instruments and incorporating several proprietary technologies and processes, it is a premium, next-generation replacement for existing products. The WKT-JQ10 exclusively adopts intelligent motor-driven voltage regulation, dual-capture technology, and multiple protection layers, offering high safety, high reliability, and strong interference immunity. It is mainly used to test the breakdown strength and voltage-withstand time of solid insulating materials — plastics, films, resins, mica, ceramics, glass, insulating varnishes, and the like — under power-frequency or DC voltage.
1. The instrument mainly comprises a high-voltage test transformer, contact voltage regulator, servo speed-control system, acquisition system, control system, and automatic discharge unit.
2. The test transformer's input is fed from the voltage regulator's output while the acquisition system monitors the HV output in real time; the computer adjusts the servo speed-control system that rotates the regulator, forming a closed loop for smoother voltage ramping that can even meet extremely slow rise-rate requirements.
3. AC and DC test sequences are automatically distinguished. After a DC test the instrument discharges automatically; if the test chamber door is opened before discharge, audible and visual alarms warn of the danger.
4. Built on a single-chip microcontroller, the insulating-oil dielectric strength tester follows a set-then-test approach, with the whole process run automatically by the microcomputer — simple, convenient, and practical. It offers fully automatic single or six-run operation with automatic voltage ramping, stirring, processing, printing, and digital display with latching — intuitive readings, accurate measurement, and a safe, reliable test process.
