With technology advancing rapidly, equipment needs not only high-level manufacturing but also attentive later maintenance. Maintenance is just as important for keeping a trace moisture analyzer performing well over time. For better long-term useandlonger service life, proper upkeep is essential. Now let's look at how to maintain a smart trace moisture analyzer!
Smart trace moisture analyzer maintenance:
Step 1: Prepare the electrolytic cell.
Gently shake the electrolytic cell of the smart trace moisture analyzer several times so the electrolyte fully absorbs the moisture on the reservoir walls, then place the cell in its holder, turn on the stirrer, and adjust the speed until the liquid surface forms a small vortex; insert the measuring and electrolytic electrode plugs into the corresponding sockets on the main unit, ensure good contact, and switch on electrolysis.
Note: in the high-iodine state, all green indicator lights for the measurement and electrolysis signals go out, only one red light on each stays on, and the digital display does not count.
Step 2: Bring the electrolyte to equilibrium.
If the cell is still deeply over-iodized, use a50 µl micro-syringe each time to draw 10 µl of distilled water, wipe the needle with filter paper, press Start, and inject below the electrolyte surface through the syringe's center hole several times, observing as you go until the electrolyte turns pale yellow; the measurement and electrolysis signals
With fresh electrolyte and a dry reservoir, a smart trace moisture analyzer needs about30–50 µl of water injected. After counting stops, stop stirring, lift the cell and shake gently a few times to absorb moisture from the glass walls again, and calibrate after the endpoint alarm.
Freshly replaced electrolyte is sometimes unstable; injecting about2–3 µl of distilled water to reach a reading of 2000–3000 µg makes it easier to stabilize quickly.
Step 3: Calibrate the smart trace moisture analyzer
Once the electrolyte is stable, use a0.5 µl micro-syringe to draw 0.3 µl of distilled water, wipe the needle with filter paper, press Start, and inject below the liquid surface; the analyzer starts counting, and at the endpoint it displays 300 µg ± 30 µg of water; measure 2–3 times in a row
(Note: the rapid moisture analyzer itself has an error below 0.3%, but considering the micro-syringe's 5% volume error and human operating error, an error within 10% is acceptable when calibrating with distilled water (100%).
