Groundbreaking Ceremony for Major Industrial Projects of Taizhou High-Tech Zone in 2019

On the morning of March 24, 2019, 26 major industrial projects broke ground collectively in the first quarter of 2019 in the Medical High-Tech Zone, with a total investment of RMB 11.92 billion. Zhang Xiaobing, Member of the Municipal Party Standing Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Medical High-Tech Zone, and Gu Ping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of the Medical High-Tech Zone and Secretary of the Gaogang District Party Committee, attended the event.

The 26 projects that broke ground focus on the three leading industries of biomedicine, electronic information, and petrochemicals and new materials, covering fields such as biological antibody drugs, animal vaccines, high-end medical devices, health products, new energy batteries, 5G communication equipment, energy-saving and environmental protection equipment, and polymer new materials. There are 3 projects of RMB 500 million to 1 billion and 4 projects of over RMB 1 billion. Once all 26 projects are completed and put into production, they are expected to achieve annual sales revenue of RMB 26 billion and profits and taxes of RMB 3 billion. Among them, the Saifushi antibody drug project and the China Academy of Engineering Physics metal 3D printing project were included in the 2019 Jiangsu Province major project plan. Upon completion, the Saifushi antibody drug project is expected to add RMB 3 billion in annual output value. Upon completion, the 3D printing project will form a production capacity of 50 million high-precision metal parts and 100 tons of supporting metal powder per year, with an expected annual output value of RMB 2.5 billion. The first-quarter major project groundbreaking ceremony is also one of the series of events celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Medical High-Tech Zone.
