The reflective moisture-measurement phased-array microwave antenna designed and manufactured by VicoMeter is highly distinctive. The phased-array microwave antenna consists of numerous small microwave antennas. Leveraging the flexibility, speed, and multi-beam capability of electronic scanning, and working in coordination with the main unit, it enables simultaneous measurement of moisture, distance, and speed. The phased array contains many antenna groups operating in parallel; even if a small number of microwave antenna components fail, the unit still works normally, delivering very high reliability.
The phased-array microwave antenna can adjust the microwave irradiation angle by controlling each micro antenna. After repeated testing, the microwave irradiation angle is set to 30°, balancing measurement accuracy and material coverage.
VicoMeter can customize dedicated instruments according to user requirements; customers in need can also request changes to the microwave irradiation angle.
The probe with a phased-array microwave antenna offers advantages such as a compact structure and easy installation. It features an all-stainless-steel metal housing with IP67 protection; the microwave emission part is protected by PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), providing a high protection rating and corrosion- and explosion-proof performance.
The single-probe design allows customers to install it freely at a distance of 0.5–2 meters from the material.
The graphical operating system developed by VicoMeter allows users to select menus by touch — simple and intuitive to operate.
