The WKT-LC150 film falling dart impact tester is designed to test the impact resistance of film materials. Using the free-falling dart staircase method, it complies with Method A of GB/T 9639.1-2008 and with ISO 7765-1:1988. Also known as a free-falling dart impact tester, it features electronic measurement and pneumatic specimen clamping for extremely simple operation. It is ideal for the precise determination of impact resistance of plastic films, sheeting, laminates and metal foils.
Overview
The WKT-LC150 film falling dart impact tester is designed to test the impact resistance of film materials. Using the free-falling dart staircase method, it complies with Method A of GB/T 9639.1-2008 and with ISO 7765-1:1988. Also known as a free-falling dart impact tester, it features electronic measurement and pneumatic specimen clamping for extremely simple operation. It is ideal for the precise determination of impact resistance of plastic films, sheeting, laminates and metal foils.
At the start of the test, select the test method. Under the given conditions, use Method A or Method B to determine the missile mass at which 50% of specimens fail. Estimate an initial mass and a Δm value, then run the test. Under the given conditions:
If the first specimen fails, reduce the missile mass by the weight Δm; if it does not fail, increase the missile mass by Δm, and continue accordingly. In short, whether the mass is decreased or increased depends on whether the previous specimen failed. After testing 20 specimens, count the total failures N. If N equals 10, the test is complete; if N is less than 10, add specimens and continue until N equals 10; if N is greater than 10, add specimens and continue until the number of non-failures equals 10. The system then automatically calculates the impact result.
Test Methods: Method A, Method B
Test Range: Method A: 50–2000 g; Method B: 120–2000 g
This instrument is suitable for plastic films and sheets thinner than 1 mm with an impact failure mass of 0.05–1 kg.
