The WKT-RC200R from VicoMeter is a differential scanning calorimeter dedicated to melting point determination. Using an imported high-sensitivity sensor with a shielded signal-acquisition circuit, it delivers strong interference immunity and excellent baseline stability. Beyond melting point, it measures oxidation induction time, enthalpy change, phase transitions, cold crystallization, product stability, degree of cure, degree of crosslinking and heat of reaction, and is widely used in R&D, process optimization, quality control and failure analysis across materials and chemical industries.
Overview
The WKT-RC200R from VicoMeter is a differential scanning calorimeter dedicated to melting point determination. Using an imported high-sensitivity sensor with a shielded signal-acquisition circuit, it delivers strong interference immunity and excellent baseline stability. Beyond melting point, it measures oxidation induction time, enthalpy change, phase transitions, cold crystallization, product stability, degree of cure, degree of crosslinking and heat of reaction, and is widely used in R&D, process optimization, quality control and failure analysis across materials and chemical industries.
Every pure solid organic compound generally has a characteristic melting point: under a given pressure, the solid–liquid phase change is very sharp, and the range from initial melt to complete melt (called the melting range) spans no more than 0.5–1°C. Melting point is an important physical constant for identifying solid organic compounds and a criterion of purity. Impurities lower the melting point and widen the melting range. Melting point measurement is therefore a fundamental means of identifying a substance and an important method for purity determination.
The WKT-RC200R differential scanning calorimeter (dedicated to melting point) offers the following features:
1. Industrial-grade 7-inch touchscreen with rich, clear information display.
2. All-new ceramic furnace structure for a better baseline and higher accuracy. Indirect conduction heating delivers superior uniformity and stability with reduced pulse radiation, outperforming conventional heating designs.
3. USB communication interface with broad compatibility, reliable uninterrupted communication and automatic reconnection.
4. Automatic switching between two atmosphere flows with fast changeover and short stabilization time, plus an additional protective-gas inlet.
5. Powerful PC control software with a clean, elegant interface that is easy to operate.
6. Multiple thermocouple sets: one measures sample temperature, another monitors the instrument's internal ambient temperature.
7. Multi-point calibration for accurate testing of high-, medium- and low-temperature samples.
8. Data-acquisition frequency configurable in software; export of Excel data files and PDF reports.
9. Curve Scanning: Heating, Cooling and Isothermal Scans.
