The WKT-RC200Y from VicoMeter is a DSC differential scanning calorimeter dedicated to oxidation induction time (OIT) measurement. Using an imported high-sensitivity sensor with a shielded signal-acquisition circuit, it delivers strong interference immunity and excellent baseline stability. Beyond OIT, it measures melting point, enthalpy change, phase transitions, cold crystallization, product stability, degree of cure, degree of crosslinking and heat of reaction, and is widely used in R&D, process optimization, quality control and failure analysis across materials and chemical industries.
Overview
Oxidation induction time (also called dynamic OIT) is a thermal performance parameter of polymer materials. Simply put, it is the time a material takes to oxidize when exposed to oxygen or air at a given temperature. OIT is measured by DSC (differential scanning calorimetry): the specimen is heated to a specified temperature under nitrogen and held, then the atmosphere is switched to oxygen or air. After a period, the material begins to oxidize and releases heat of oxidation, which the calorimeter detects to determine the time required for oxidation.
The WKT-RC200Y differential scanning calorimeter (dedicated to oxidation induction time) offers the following features:
1. Industrial-grade 7-inch touchscreen with rich, clear information display.
2. All-new ceramic furnace structure for a better baseline and higher accuracy. Indirect conduction heating delivers superior uniformity and stability with reduced pulse radiation, outperforming conventional heating designs.
3. USB communication interface with broad compatibility, reliable uninterrupted communication and automatic reconnection.
4. Automatic switching between two atmosphere flows with fast changeover and short stabilization time, plus an additional protective-gas inlet.
5. Powerful PC control software with a clean, elegant interface that is easy to operate.
6. Multiple thermocouple sets: one measures sample temperature, another monitors the instrument's internal ambient temperature.
7. Multi-point calibration for accurate testing of high-, medium- and low-temperature samples.
8. Data-acquisition frequency configurable in software; export of Excel data files and PDF reports.
9. Curve Scanning: Heating, Cooling and Isothermal Scans.
