VicoMeter AC Series economy electronic analytical balances use internationally recognized high-sensitivity, high-stability electromagnetic force sensor technology, leading comparable products in cost performance and commanding stronger pricing power. The instrument features outstanding build quality, rigorous craftsmanship and refined finishing, with a fresh, open appearance that combines excellent visual appeal with an extra-large working chamber. Its stable performance meets the precision weighing requirements of a wide range of laboratories.
Common faults of electronic balances in daily use and their remedies:
1. Fault Analysis: Inaccurate Weighing
Check whether the internal count is stable, whether the sensor shows any friction, whether the regulated power supply is stable, whether the op-amp circuit is normal, and whether corner weighing with test weights is even at all four pan positions. Following the manual, perform further instrument-level analysis or weight calibration.
2. Fault Analysis: Failure to Return to Zero After Removing the Load
Check whether the sensor output signal is within specification(total A/D amplified count / internal count range in use / bottom count range). If the signal is out of specification, adjust the sensor's trimmer resistor to bring it within range. If it cannot be compensated, check the sensor for faults. Provided the sensor output is normal (stable weighing body), the fault lies in the instrument—usually the amplifier or A/D conversion circuit. Diagnose stage by stage according to circuit principles until the problem is solved.
3. Fault: Failure to Power On
First rule out the fuse, power switch, power cord and voltage selector switch; check the transformer for AC input and AC output. If the instrument has a battery, remove it and power on withAC power to determine whether low battery voltage is the cause. Then check the rectifier, voltage regulator and display driver circuits for abnormalities; if all are fine, check whether the processor and auxiliary circuits are burnt out.
4. Garbled Display
Remove the original display circuit and replace it with a known-good one. If the display then works, the display circuit is faulty; if not, check the driver circuit, and finally check whether the processor's display-output pins are within a reasonable output range.
5. Unresponsive Keys
Replace the key with a new one and test. If the new key works, the original key had poor contact. Check for open circuits or cold solder joints between the key and theCPU. Check the key support for poor contact. Test diodes and resistors in the key-to-CPU circuit for short or open circuits.
6. Cannot Reach Full Load
Similar to the failure-to-return-to-zero case; most often the small-signal input range has shifted. Troubleshoot as for the zero-return fault. If nothing is found, first check the power supply and theA/D circuit, then check the sensor output.
7. Pointer Flutter
When the beam is lifted, if the front-to-back distance between the pivot knife edge and the knife pad is unequal, the pointer will flutter when the balance is released. Loosen the screw in front of the left arm of the beam support, then adjust the height of the small support post by hand until the pointer no longer flutters.
