1. The analyzer measures sample moisture; any other use may cause injury and damage the instrument.

2. Read the manual carefully before use, and do not operate under unsuitable conditions.

3. For trained personnel familiar with sample properties only.

4. Uses a grounded three-pin outlet; never disconnect the ground wire or use a poorly grounded supply.

5. Ensure sufficient space to prevent heat buildup and overheating.

6. The area around the heating unit gets hot; keep flammables away.

7. After testing, the sample, heating unit, and container remain very hot—handle with care.

8. During drying, the annular heating element reaches 400°C. Do not open or touch it; if necessary, disconnect power and wait for full cooling.

9. Be careful with flammable items, solvent-containing matrices, and those releasing flammable or explosive gases when heated. Keep temperatures low enough to prevent flame or explosion and wear goggles and other protection. If flammability is uncertain, use minimal sample; the instrument must be supervised, with a prior risk analysis.

10. Matrices containing toxic elements may only be heated where ventilation is adequate.

11. For matrices releasing corrosive vapors, reduce sample weight—condensing vapor corrodes cooler housing parts.
