The VicoMeter WKT-R-150ZS-SS online NIR moisture analyzer (stainless steel) serves every industry that requires rapid moisture determination, enabling online testing of raw materials such as chemical feedstocks, grains and cereals, and wood chips. Near-infrared spectroscopy is an analytical technique that uses the material information contained in the NIR spectral region for qualitative and quantitative analysis of organic substances. The instrument emits light of specific wavelengths, which is reflected as parallel light onto the sample material after passing through a lens, filter disc and mirror. Part of the infrared light is absorbed by the sample, while the rest is scattered and focused by a concave mirror into the NIR sensor. The sensor's internal digital processor processes the reference and measurement light signals and transmits them to the instrument's main unit, which then quickly displays the moisture range of the measured material.
