Ningbo Yongjia Transformer
Ningbo Yongjia Transformer Co., Ltd. purchased our latest coulometric Karl Fischer moisture analyzer, the WKT-A9. The VicoMeter WKT-A9 precision Karl Fischer trace moisture analyzer uses the coulometric Karl Fischer principle to quickly determine trace moisture in samples, measuring water content as low as 0.001 ppm and determining trace moisture in solids, liquids and powders within 1 minute, with a built-in printer and storage for 500 data sets for real-time query and printing! The innovative guided navigation prompts and built-in electronic manual make operation simple. The WKT-A9 complies with multiple national and international moisture determination standards, with eight built-in moisture calculation formulas and six measurement methods to meet the moisture determination needs of various industries, and is widely used in chemicals, petroleum, pharmaceuticals, electric power, food, research, testing and other industries.
Coulometric (coulometry) principle, ideal for trace-level testing; 5-inch color touchscreen with smart operation, automatic result calculation, and freely configurable sample IDs; complies with multiple national standards and suits virtually every industry.
8 moisture calculation formulas, 6 determination methods, and 8 end-point detection algorithms
Automatic drift compensation, automatic subtraction of ambient and background moisture, and self-diagnostic fault alerts
One-touch start for reliable results
Outstanding automation — connects seamlessly to the Karl Fischer oven for difficult samples
RS232 interface for connection to a PC, printer, PLC, or LIMS
The customer's main samples are transformer oils. Water is a strongly polar substance (its relative permittivity is 80 versus only 2.2 for transformer oil) that readily ionizes and decomposes under an electric field, increasing the oil's conduction current; trace moisture significantly raises the dielectric loss of insulating oil. In addition, water promotes the corrosion of copper and iron by organic acids, and the resulting soaps worsen the oil's dielectric loss factor, increase its hygroscopicity, catalyze oxidation and generate impurities—reducing insulation resistance and insulation strength, and lowering breakdown voltage. Moisture in transformer oil must therefore be strictly controlled.
Before the VicoMeter technical engineer arrived, the customer had installed the instrument themselves and tested moisture using the density method, but the results were unsatisfactory and always differed from third-party data. Because oil density varies with water content, the gravimetric method should be used for testing whenever possible. The VicoMeter technical engineer brought a density balance to the customer's site, ran about 10 repeated tests, and obtained results essentially consistent with the customer's third-party data. After the explanation, the customer understood and was very satisfied with the results. When testing moisture in oil products, the gravimetric method is recommended unless density is measured at the same time.
Ningbo Yongjia Transformer Co., Ltd. is the core enterprise of the Ningbo Yongjia Hengye Group, founded in 1993, with a plant area of 45,000 square meters, including 25,000 square meters of modern workshops, and an annual production capacity of 600 million yuan. The company has 248 employees, including 75 engineering and technical personnel, over 30% of the total. 'High starting point, high technology, high quality' has always been the company's development path. While pursuing independent innovation, it actively learns advanced product technology and management concepts from outstanding foreign companies.
