The customer purchased the VicoMeter WKT-C30 Fully Automatic Karl Fischer moisture analyzer. Working on the volumetric Karl Fischer principle, the WKT-C30 rapidly determines moisture down to 10 ppm and measures solids, liquids, and powders within 30 seconds. Its built-in RS232 port connects printers, balances, computers, and other peripherals, and it stores 200 data sets for real-time query.

The WKT-C30 "fully automatic" Karl Fischer moisture analyzer uses the volumetric Karl Fischer principle to rapidly determine moisture down to 10 ppm, measuring solids, liquids, and powders within 30 seconds. Its RS232 port connects to printers, balances, computers, and other peripherals, and it stores 200 data sets with real-time query. A further upgrade of the Victor smart-series moisture analyzer, the C30 delivers a higher level of automation and precision. It complies with multiple national and international moisture standards as well as pharmacopoeia requirements and is widely used in chemicals, petroleum, pharmaceuticals, power, food, batteries, plastics, research, and testing.

VicoMeter at the Customer Site

After the customer purchased the VicoMeter WKT-C30 “Fully Automatic” Karl Fischer moisture analyzer, they were in a hurry to use it, so the VicoMeter technical engineer arranged on-site installation and commissioning at the first opportunity. Upon arriving at the customer's site, the VicoMeter technical engineer first checked the instrument's accessories with the customer, confirmed nothing was missing, and then began the installation and commissioning.

Since the customer had never used a similar instrument, the VicoMeter engineer explained its working and testing principles during installation and commissioning, then taught the customer blank runs, calibration, and drift measurement. A blank run consumes the water already present in the methanol; calibration determines the reagent's titer for the day — a critical value that directly affects the test result — and drift measurement reflects the environment's real-time influence on the test. After the explanation, the customer practiced twice and could already use the instrument proficiently for moisture testing, and was satisfied with the service.
