The customer purchased our VicoMeter WKT-C30 fully automatic Karl Fischer moisture analyzer. The WKT-C30 “Fully Automatic” Karl Fischer moisture analyzer uses the Karl Fischer volumetric principle to quickly determine moisture in samples, measuring moisture as low as 10 ppm. It can determine moisture in solids, liquids, and powders within 30 seconds. The instrument has a built-in RS232 serial port for connecting printers, balances, computers, and other peripheral devices, and can store 200 sets of data with real-time query!

WKT-C30 Volumetric Karl Fischer Moisture Titrator

The WKT-C30 "fully automatic" Karl Fischer moisture analyzer uses the volumetric Karl Fischer principle to rapidly determine moisture down to 10 ppm, measuring solids, liquids, and powders within 30 seconds. Its RS232 port connects to printers, balances, computers, and other peripherals, and it stores 200 data sets with real-time query. A further upgrade of the Victor smart-series moisture analyzer, the C30 delivers a higher level of automation and precision. It complies with multiple national and international moisture standards as well as pharmacopoeia requirements and is widely used in chemicals, petroleum, pharmaceuticals, power, food, batteries, plastics, research, and testing.

VicoMeter at the Customer Site

After arriving at the customer's site, the VicoMeter technical engineer first checked the instrument's accessory list with the customer's procurement department, then began installation while explaining the process. Since the customer had never used a similar instrument before, the installation proceeded slowly. Upon completion, the engineer used a 10ul injector to draw 10ul of deionized water for standardization; one standardization gave a result of 3.31. The customer's own operator performed four standardizations with results of 3.27, 3.38, 3.19, and 3.25 — stable data.

After standardization, the customer brought out their sample — lyophilized serum. Since serum is insoluble in methanol, the VicoMeter technical engineer explained the situation to the customer in advance. The customer said they only needed to measure the methanol-soluble portion, so the engineer proceeded directly with the measurement as requested, grinding the sample into powder for testing. Two measurements gave results of 1.23% and 1.31%, in line with the customer's expectations.
