Jiangxi Jinglikang New Material Technology
The customer purchased the VicoMeter WKT-A9 "Exquisite" Karl Fischer moisture analyzer. Using the coulometric Karl Fischer principle, the WKT-A9 rapidly determines trace moisture down to 0.001 ppm in solids, liquids and powders within one minute. The instrument features built-in printing, storage for 500 data sets, and real-time query and printing. Innovative guided prompts and a built-in electronic manual make operation simple. Compliant with multiple national and international moisture determination standards, the WKT-A9 includes eight moisture calculation formulas and six measurement methods for all industries, and is widely used in chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, power, food, research and testing sectors—a Karl Fischer moisture analyzer for mid-to-high-end applications.
Coulometric (coulometry) principle, ideal for trace-level testing; 5-inch color touchscreen with smart operation, automatic result calculation, and freely configurable sample IDs; complies with multiple national standards and suits virtually every industry.
8 moisture calculation formulas, 6 determination methods, and 8 end-point detection algorithms
Automatic drift compensation, automatic subtraction of ambient and background moisture, and self-diagnostic fault alerts
One-touch start for reliable results
Outstanding automation — connects seamlessly to the Karl Fischer oven for difficult samples
RS232 interface for connection to a PC, printer, PLC, or LIMS
Because the customer's company had just been founded, their laboratory was not yet complete and its temperature and humidity could not meet installation requirements. Upon arrival, the VicoMeter engineer assessed the conditions and, after consulting with the customer's management, temporarily installed the instrument in the office; the customer would move it to the laboratory once completed. The engineer then checked the instrument accessories with the customer's responsible person and, after confirmation, began installation.
The installation went smoothly. Afterwards, the engineer ran verification tests with 0.1 µL, 0.2 µL, 0.3 µL, 0.5 µL, 1 µL and 2 µL of deionized water, and all results were within range. Testing then began with the customer's sample (the sample name cannot be disclosed for confidentiality reasons). Using a disposable syringe, the engineer first rinsed and wetted the syringe and needle with the sample. Because the sample's moisture content was very low, a larger portion was taken; after sampling, the dedicated No. 9 needle was attached, wiped, and the assembly weighed and tared on the balance. The engineer pressed start-injection, immersed the needle below the liquid surface and injected the sample. Three tests on the same sample gave stable results close to third-party values, and the customer was very satisfied. Since the sample was black, the engineer advised the customer to pour the reagent into a separate bottle for storage after each test.
