The VicoMeter WKT-R-50ZS online NIR moisture analyzer serves every industry that requires rapid moisture determination, enabling online testing of raw materials such as chemical feedstocks, grains and cereals, and wood chips. As near-infrared light undergoes multiple reflections, refraction, diffraction and absorption inside the sample, the NIR spectrum carries rich structural and compositional information of the sample through this series of processes, and every substance has its characteristic absorption.

WKT-R-50ZS Online NIR Moisture Analyzer

The WKT-R-50ZS online NIR analyzer serves industries needing rapid moisture determination, testing chemical raw materials, grain, wood shavings, and more online. NIR spectroscopy qualitatively and quantitatively analyzes organics: specific wavelengths pass through lens, filter wheel, and mirror onto the material; absorbed and scattered light is focused onto the NIR sensor, whose processor feeds reference and measurement signals to the host for rapid moisture display.

VicoMeter at the Customer Site

Due to the pandemic, the customer installed the instrument by themselves first, but the readings fluctuated significantly. A VicoMeter technical engineer visited the site to commission the instrument. Upon arrival, the engineer found that because the customer's belt was slightly off-center, the material was not in the middle of the belt but slightly to the left, while the light spot was aimed at the center of the belt and did not fully cover the material—causing the large fluctuations in readings. After the VicoMeter engineer adjusted the instrument position on site, the readings returned to normal. Because of the heavy dust, the engineer also recommended that the customer install a purge device.

Qiqihar Yueyang Hengye Food Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Xinglongken Group. Established in July 2020 in the Meilisi Industrial Park of Qiqihar National High-Tech Zone, the company mainly produces and sells organic steam-flaked corn, barley, corn flour and other feed products, as well as deep-processed organic grain products. With a total investment of RMB 160 million, the factory covers an area of 40,000 square meters and is being built in two phases. It can produce 150,000 tons of steam-flaked corn, 50,000 tons of corn flour, and 40,000 tons of other coarse cereal foods and deep-processed coarse cereal products per year.
