The customer purchased two sets of equipment: the VicoMeter WKT-A6 Karl Fischer coulometric moisture analyzer and the VicoMeter WKT-C9 Karl Fischer volumetric moisture analyzer.

The WKT-C9 fully automatic Karl Fischer moisture analyzer uses the Karl Fischer volumetric principle to rapidly determine moisture down to 10 ppm, storing 200 data sets with real-time query! A further upgrade of Victor's smart moisture analyzer with higher automation and precision, the WKT-C9 complies with multiple national and international standards and pharmacopoeia requirements, widely used in chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, electric power, food, battery, plastics, scientific research and testing industries.

The VicoMeter WKT-A6 fully automatic trace moisture analyzer integrates multiple advanced production technologies. Its principle is the world-recognized classic Karl Fischer coulometric method, with a range down to 0.0001% (1 ppm), rapidly determining moisture in liquids, solids and gases within 60 seconds, widely used in chemical, petroleum, electric power, scientific research and railway industries.

The VicoMeter WKT-C9 fully automatic Karl Fischer moisture analyzer uses the volumetric Karl Fischer principle to rapidly determine moisture down to 10 ppm, measuring solids, liquids, and powders within 30 seconds. Its built-in RS232 port connects printers, balances, computers, and other peripherals, and it stores 200 data sets with real-time query. A further upgrade of the Victor smart-series moisture analyzer, the C9 delivers a higher level of automation and precision. It complies with multiple national and international moisture standards as well as pharmacopoeia requirements and is widely used in chemicals, petroleum, pharmaceuticals, power, food, batteries, plastics, research, and testing.

VicoMeter at the Customer Site

The customer is a testing company that purchased VicoMeter Karl Fischer moisture analyzers mainly for third-party testing, so accuracy is especially important. Because they encounter a wide variety of samples, they needed both volumetric and coulometric Karl Fischer moisture analyzers.

After arriving on site, the VicoMeter technical engineer checked the instrument list, then assembled both instruments. After assembling the WKT-A6, he injected a small amount of deionized water and let it condition automatically, then assembled the WKT-C9, performed standardization and drift tests, and verified both with pure water: A6 gave 100.1% and C9 gave 99.76%, both within tolerance. He then tested with methanol: WKT-A6 gave 198 ppm, WKT-C9 gave 212 ppm, and the customer's existing instrument gave 206 ppm—all three within tolerance. The customer was very satisfied.
