Customer Profile

The customer purchased two VicoMeter halogen moisture analyzers, model VM-01NS. The VM-01NS is a fully automatic halogen moisture analyzer that uses a high-efficiency drying heater — a ring-shaped halogen lamp — to heat samples quickly and uniformly, making the entire testing process fast, automatic, and simple. The instrument displays measurement results in real time: moisture content MC%, solid content DC%, initial sample weight g, final weight g, measurement time S, final temperature °C, trend curve, and other values. The VicoMeter VM-01NS is a rapid halogen moisture analyzer that complies with pharmacopoeia specifications.

VicoMeter at the Customer Site

On arrival, the VicoMeter engineer first helped the customer unpack and inspect the instrument to confirm all accessories were complete. Because the VM-01NS fast halogen moisture analyzer is equipped with a 0.001 g precision balance, the installation site matters: the engineer confirmed the installation position with the customer and made sure there were no drafts or vibration nearby, then installed the wind shield, sample pan holder, bracket, and sample pan in turn. Once installation was complete, the engineer demonstrated operation with the customer's samples, explaining precautions and practical tips along the way. The customer also verified VicoMeter's data against one of their own instruments, with essentially identical results. They did raise one question: per the national standard, their samples require the fast halogen moisture analyzer to reach a weight-loss rate of 140 S/mg, while the instrument's maximum was 120 S/mg. The engineer escalated the issue to the company, which responded with a dedicated program solution developed specifically for that customer.
